The City of Bath Pétanque Club
The Pétanque Club is open to all, with juniors and non-players welcome. If you haven’t played before, come and give it a go for a couple of sessions (we’ve spare boules) and if you still like it after three visits, please join the club!
For those who want to take it beyond the informal, there is plenty of opportunity to become more seriously involved.
The Pétanque Club provides regular coaching sessions to help members improve their skills, organises internal club events and forms teams to play in friendly and league matches against other clubs. We also arrange overseas trips to play against overseas clubs and join in and experience the culture of the countries visited.
We are now based at Larkhall Sports Club where we have 2 terrains allowing us to have up to 16 lanes.
The club pistes are open to club members throughout the year.
Monday is Club Night at Larkhall Sports Club, starting from when the clocks go forward to when they go back. From 5.30pm onwards.
Informal daytime get togethers on Saturday mornings from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm with lunch afterwards for those who’ve worked up an appetite.
If you’re part of the league matches, other evenings in the week as arranged with participating teams.
The clubs run a number of overseas tours including visits to Aix-en-Provence in France, Braunschweig in Germany and Alkmaar in Holland. More recently trips have also been arranged to Jersey and Guernsey
