 Petanque England

Pétanque England (PE) is the national organisation for the sport in England. CoBPC is affiliated to PE and a significant proportion of your membership fee goes to them. The rules that we play to, which are adopted by PE are in fact a translation of the international rules set by the Féderation Internationale de Pétanque at Jeu Provençal. Most of our Club rules and procedures are based on the PE version.

The PE training video is an excellent and instructive guide to those who are new to the sport. This is also available for purchase as a DVD – contact a member of the Committee for information.

Great Western Region

Great Western Region is the regional part of PE. Its role is to promote the sport and support PE clubs in the region. GWR organises the Winter Doubles competition, qualifiers for the Inter Regional Competition , singles, doubles, mixed doubles, shooting and junior competitions during the season.

Bath Thursday League

The club runs a league of four divisions open to teams playing within ten miles of Bath. Games are usually played on a Thursday evening with teams of four or more players. This is a very friendly league with the emphasis on playing friendly, sociable games with like-minded people.

Brunel League

The club enters one or more teams into the Brunel League alongside other clubs from across the region. Teams of six or more players play three rounds of triples and doubles games in each match
