Useful Links

The following links are provided for easy access to national and regional information and to locally organised tournaments and events:

English Petanque Association

English Pétanque Association is the national organisation for the sport in England. CoBPC is affiliated to EPA and a significant proportion of your membership fee goes to the EPA. The rules that we play to, which are adopted by EPA are in fact a translation of the international rules set by the Féderation Internationale de Pétanque at Jeu Provençal. Most of our Club rules and procedures are based on the EPA version.

The EPA training video is an excellent and instructive guide to those who are new to the sport. This is also available for purchase as a DVD – contact a member of the Committee for information.

Great Western Region

Great Western Region is the regional part of the EPA. Its role is to promote the sport and support EPA clubs in the region. GWR organises the Winter Doubles competition, qualifiers for the Inter Regional Competition (aka Race to Hayling), singles, doubles, mixed doubles, shooting and junior competitions during the season.

Petanque Bath

The Petanque Bath website (previously Boule UK) is managed by Clive de Silva, our club Playing Manager, who promotes and runs a number of events and competitions within the GWR region.

This is a useful and informative site as it now contains rules and information on all CoBPC playing matters, including the internal Doubles ladder, player rankings etc.

Clive also publishes results and tables for many of the local and GWR leagues and competitions, such as our Bath Thursday Boules League (BTBL)  and the Brunel league.
