CoBPC Spring Open Doubles Competition

This is the first of the Club’s two major Open events this year. This event was added to our playing calendar in 2016 when we were joined by our friends from Alkmaar (who won the trophy!).

This year’s event will be run as an Open Doubles competition, so is not limited to Club members.

Registration will be at 8.45am for a 9.30 am start.

The morning games will be in a round robin format with 4 teams in each group. The games will not be timed but will be played only to 11 points in the morning.

Based on the mornings results the top team from each group plus the best performing second team will be placed in the Championship.
The remaining 6 second placed teams plus the best 2 third placed teams will be placed in the plate.
The remaining 5 third placed teams plus the 3 best placed 4th teams will be placed in Consolage A
The remaining 4 teams will be placed in Consolage B

All games in the afternoon will be played to 13 points and will not be timed.

The Championship / Plate / Consolage B will be played on as a knockout however those teams that are knocked out in the first round will be placed in a “plate” of their individual competition ensuring that all teams play a minimum of 5 games during the day.

Consolage B will be played as a round robin based on the same format employed in the morning.

It is hoped that we will finish by 5.30 to 6.00.
